Sweet and sour shrimps

  • 500g peeled shrimps
  • 4 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • coriander leaves

For the sauce

  • 4 tablespoons of dry white wine
  • 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of spring onions (or sweet onions)
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh minced ginger

Heat a wok or a pan and add 3 tablespoons of oil and the shrimps. When they are cooked put them on an absorbent paper. Add the remaining oil in the wok. Prepare the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of warm water. Mix the sauce ingredients, heat the wok and cook the shrimps and the sauce for 1 minute at high heat. Add the cornstarch, cook 2 more minutes to thicken and serve after adding fresh coriander.
